Harold August Lefert, 84, formerly of Burns, KS died in Overland Park, KS, on April 26, 2024.

He was born in Newton, KS on August 15, 1939, to August G. Lefert and Grace L (Strong) Lefert.

He spent his life in Burns, Kansas farming. He could be found on a tractor, working cattle, gossiping at Glen’s Feed Store or playing dominos.  Harold had many qualities, the best of these being his loyalty to his family and friends.

Harold was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon (Handle) Lefert; his parents, August and Grace Lefert.  He is survived by his son, Roger (Tracy) of Stilwell, KS; daughter, Darlene (Lefert) Davis of Ozark, MO; grandsons, Ethan Lefert (Jasmine), of Grandview, MO, Jared Lefert, of Lenexa, KS, Brandon Lefert of Charlottesville VA, Grant Davis of Ozark, MO, and Luke Davis of Ozark, MO; his brother, Jerry Lefert of Des Moines, Iowa; his sister, Christine Baker of Pratt, KS and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Vigil will be held at 5:30pm, Friday, May 10^th; Rosary will be at 10:00am Saturday, May 11^th and a Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30AM Saturday, May 11^th all at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 201 W 8th St, Florence, Kansas 66851.
