David worked in the auto parts distribution arena until he joined the North Kansas City School District, retiring in May 2023.

David loved being grandpa to Daemion, his grandson.  David and Cheryl enjoyed being parents to Tiffany and Sean. David always looked forward to spending time with his siblings at family events. He followed the Kansas City Chiefs, car races, and he tinkered with auto challenges.

I met Tiffany in 6th grade and from the first time I met Davd he was like a second Dad to me. I loved staying the night and spending time with my second family, he treated all of us kids that came over like we were his own. He was so important to so many people, even if he didnt realize it. He will be greatly missed.

Friend of Tiffany Porter ,Kansas City ,Missouri

I met Tiffany when her and I worked as package handlers at FedEx Ground. I got to know her more after the loss of my son. He and her parents took me under their wing and made me feel like family. They got me out of the house and we would go tear up the town. They made me laugh in a time when I really didn’t feel like laughing. I’m so sorry to hear of David’s passing. He was such a kind and gentle soul. May he rest in peace. Tiffany and her family are in my thoughts and prayers.
