Barbara Deacy Breece, 89, of Kansas City, MO, passed away surrounded by her family on Sat., Feb. 4, 2017 at Armour Oaks. A memorial service will be held 1:00 pm, Sat., Feb. 11, 2017 in the chapel at Armour Oaks, 8100 Wornall Rd., Kansas City, MO 64114. Barbara never lived outside the 64113 zip code until she was in her 80s, then she began residing in the 64114 zip code. She attended Border Star, Southwest High School and graduated from Kansas City University with a degree in Art. Throughout her life she volunteered with many Kansas City organizations including the Kansas City Museum, Kansas City Symphony and Meals on Wheels. She was an avid gardener and was well known for her green thumb. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, David Breece. She is survived by her son David Breece, 5 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
