Timothy A. Butts, age 42, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 17^th at his home in Basehor.  He was born April 10, 1975 in Topeka, KS to Kenneth and Florence “Lori” Butts.    Tim was a 1993 graduate of Fort Atkinson High School in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin.  He worked for over a decade at the Lansing Prison as a Corrections Officer. 

Tim was known for his humor and ability to make jokes and levity of every situation.  He was a big kid that loved a good prank, which he would tell you about again and again.   His lifelong passions were collecting toys and KU basketball.    We suspect he is currently leveling up in vintage Atari and playing with the Star Wars toys he poorly traded back in 1980s, and regretted immediately.

He is survived by both parents (Ken and Lori), his sister (Tammy) and brother-in-law (Bjorn), and his nephew (Alexander).

Family, friends, and others whose lives Tim touched are invited to Basehor United Methodist Church, 8660 158th St, Basehor, KS 66012, on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 10:00 am for his memorial service.
