Martha Olene Offield, 77, of Independence, Missouri passed away Wednesday, July 11, 2017. Martha was born Thursday, May 16, 1940 in Grapevine, Kentucky, the daughter of Wiley and Jetta Poole Watts. She married Virgil Offield on Friday, March 27, 1964, and to this union 5 children were born. Martha loved to crochet and make ceramics. She is preceded in death by her parents, one brother Gene, 2 sisters Evelyn and Nancy, and her husband Virgil who passed away February 5, 1991. She is survived by 4 daughters, Patricia Aviles, Tammie Davis (Jim), Debbie Van (Randy), Shelly Hickman (Jim) and 1 son Virgil Offield, 13 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great- grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at Mt. Washington Funeral Chapel, located at 614 South Brookside Avenue, Independence, Mo. 64053 Burial will follow in Mt. Washington Cemetery
