Jerry was a man of passion and conviction who held his friends and family close to his heart. He embraced every challenge in his life with determination, a strong work ethic and his wonderful, dry sense of humor. Known to various people as “Boss”, “Chief”, and “The Senator”, the title he was most proud of was “Papa Jerry”.

Jerry’s work history was varied and colorful and included Kresge’s, the Federal Reserve Bank, Kansas City Life Insurance Co., Shockley Engineering, Jackson County, City of Raymore, Reece & Nichols, and finally BJM Consulting where he spent the last twenty years as a Site Acquisition Manager. For the past fifteen years, restoring old cars brought him such joy and an entire new family at the South Street Garage in Blue Springs, MO. Jerry enjoyed good cigars, good scotch, Sunday family dinners, and his favorite escape, Siesta Key, Florida.

The family would like to extend thanks to KU Medical Center, KU Cancer Center – Lee’s Summit, and Kansas City Hospice for the wonderful care and support.
