Linda Sue “Linn” Adams
On August 11, 2017, the divine hands of God, that had held Linda Sue Adams so closely and tenderly for over 67 years, finally drew her Heavenward to her real home, prepared by Christ for her. She had served Jesus faithfully her entire life, despite the fact that she had cerebral palsy and had been confined to a wheelchair for all of her adult years. Her friends were many, drawn by her indomitable spirit and unflagging courage. Her doctors early on had told her parents that she would never live past her teens, but she must not have been listening.

Those of us who knew her well were certain that she had been given such a long life because God knew that we needed her to show us how to live our lives with eternity in mind. Linn passed quietly from this world, probably dreaming the dream that helped her endure so many painful years—seeing herself running through the fields of Heaven, her hair billowing in the wind, her strong new legs unstoppable, in the smiling presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Dean Adams, and her sister Annette Lanius. She is survived by her niece Carrissa Coulson and her great nieces Emma and Arjuna. A memorial service celebrating Linn’s life will be held on Saturday, August 26, at 2:00 pm, at Loma Vista Baptist Church, 8622 Blue Ridge Blvd., KCMO. In lieu of flowers, a donation to Children’s Mercy Hospital is suggested.
