Janice Alene Conner

Janice Alene Conner went home to be with her Lord, Friday, September 8th, 2017.  Born on May 8th, 1937 in Evert, Washington to Harry and Margaret Hubbard.  Jan graduated from Clinton High School (OK) in 1955.  Preceded in death by her first husband and father of her four children, Dwayne Luffman, and later her second husband, Gordon Conner, along with brothers John, David, and sister Marlene.  
 
 
Jan worked for JCPenney until her retirement.  Jan's passion was acting: she was a founding member of the Olathe Community Theater where she performed in numerous productions including The Jan Conner Christmas Show.  
 
 
She is survived by her four children, Connie Collins, Battlefield, Mo, Donna Rogers (Rick), Gardner, Ks, Doug Luffman (Carla), Eudora, Ks, and Bradley Luffman, Bequia Island: 9 grandchildren, Kristen Coleman (Jason), Jason Rogers (Morgan), Jamie Bolen (Derek), Jessica Haney (Zach), Kelsey Beck (Michael), Sadie Luffman, Joshua Luffman, Audrey Luffman, Steven Luffman: as well as thirteen great grandchildren, one niece Melissa Rethford (Darren), and sister-in-law, Karla Hubbard.
 
 
Jan was known for her vibrant smile, playful sense of humor, wealth of friends, and love for the Lord.  Jan is now in Heaven singing, dancing, and laughing without pain and physical limitations.  She will be greatly missed by all.  
 
 
A celebration of Jan's life will be held on October 7th at 11 a.m. at Providence Community Church: 10113 Lenexa Dr, Lenexa, KS 66215.  Donations are welcome to Ronald McDonald house of KC.
