SHARON KELLER (COWICK), 70, of Olathe, KS, passed away peacefully on October 29, 2017. Married to and survived by Ray Keller, Sharon was born on March 5, 1947, in Kansas City, MO to Frances and Jack Cowick, who predeceased her along with her siblings, Michael and Julie. Her surviving siblings are John Douglas (Gay), Phronsie Compton (Charles), Dennis, Debra Evans, Timothy, Terri Bond, and Christina Rynberg (Ray). Sharon is also survived by 12 nieces and nephews, 5 great nieces and nephews, friends, cousins, and thousands of people around the world who she entertained, all who adored her.
She graduated from Lillis High School and attended UMKC. Sharon was a talented jazz singer. She and her husband, Ray performed on the Royal Caribbean Cruise Line for 10 years, as the Sharon Andrews Trio. For over 8 years they have been performing at dozens of independent and assisted living facilities in Johnson County and nearby areas. To say Sharon was loved by the residents is an understatement. Sharon loved singing to her mother, Frances, who passed away on January 19th enjoying their contests on who could remember the words to songs. Between the two of them, they knew pretty much every song that has ever been written.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 313 Avila Circle, Kansas City, MO at 11a.m. on Saturday, December 2, 2017. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the ACLU, 125 Broad Street, 18th Floor, NYC 10004. Condolences may be made at Sharon Keller’s Facebook Page.
