Henry Bernard Wick
Oct 13, 1922 - Nov 07, 2017

Henry B. Wick passed away at the age of 95 on November 7, 2017 in Kansas City Missouri. He was born October 13,1922, in Menomonee Falls, the devoted son of Henry A. and Helen (Klug) Wick. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Orlando and sister, Blanche Jorns. He was the Loving husband to his wife of 70 years, Ethel M. Wick and beloved father to Candyce (Charles) Reskin of Kansas City, MO and Henry C. (Mary) Wick of Germantown. He leaves 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Henry was a graduate of Menomonee Falls High School. He was a Veteran of WWII having served in the Air Force on Guam as a communications technician. In 1949, he began his long career with the Village of Menomonee Falls as a Public Works Superintendent, retiring in 1987. Henry remained active, full of energy and helped people anyway he could. He and Ethel did some travelling and after a trip to Las Vegas developed an interest in slot machines. He enjoyed golf, bowling and watching the Packers and Brewer games and going to the casino. His interest in electronics remained, although he never caught on to the new technologies. For years he did radio and TV repair before the age of transistors. He always enjoyed fixing, repairing or inventing and spent many hours in his work shop. Henry loved music and played the accordion at an early age. In the late 40’s he had a three piece band called the Top Hats. When the accordion became too heavy, he bought an organ for his own enjoyment and to the delight of the children. He will be missed by his family and everyone who knew him.

A private service is planned in Kansas City. A memorial service will be held in Menomonee Falls at a later date.
