Lillian Jacobs, Age: 90

Lillian Jacobs, (90) passed away on December 1, 2017 at Rosewood Care Facility in Independence, MO. Lillian was born on a farm near Coloma, Wisconsin on December 31, 1926 to Ivy and Joseph Douglass. She attended the University of Wisconsin, Stevens Point and became a teacher. She married Dean Jacobs on September 12, 1953. They had three children. She returned to teaching after all of her children were in school and taught at Westfield, Wisconsin High School until her retirement. She was an active member of the Community of Christ Church all of her adult life. She was an Elder in the priesthood of the Church. Lillian and Dean moved to Blue Springs, MO in 1992 to be near their children and grandchildren. Lillian was preceded in death by her husband, Dean, her mother and father, brother, Merlin Douglass, and sister, Katie Machan. She is survived by her children Ann (Ron) Riegle, Janet (Tom) Conrow, and Merlin Jacobs. Grandchildren: Adam Riegle, Sarah (Ian) Tilbury, Jaime (Jay) Matylewski), Jeff (Julie) Conrow. Great grandchildren: Easton Jacob Tilbury, Mason, Madelyn, and Emma Matylewski, Kayla, Gabe, and Jace Conrow. A memorial service will be held at the Groves Chapel, 1515 West White Oak, Independence, MO on Sunday, December 10, 2017 at 1:30 pm. Internment will be next to her husband in Wisconsin at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that contributions be given to The Groves Community of Christ Congregation.

Janet & family - very sorry. my sympathy to you and your family. Mrs. Jacobs was a very sweet person to me, and i'm sure to all of you as well. Thoughts and prayers are with your family during this difficult time.

Very sad to hear that you have lost your loving Mom. Now she is reunited with your Dad where they can be together. One day you will all be together again to celebrate your loving family.
