Charles Eduoard Joseph Cormier, 71, died on December 22, 2017, at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. Charlie was born on December 10, 1946, in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada. His parents, Joseph Alfred Cormier and Marie Evelyn Leger Cormier, had many children. Charlie was married for 46 years to the late Deborah Elaine Aamold Cormier who predeceased him in 2016.
Charlie is survived by his daughter, Maria Cormier Marion and his two grandchildren, Jamie Marie Thurmond and Naomi Anne-Marie Marion, all of Lenexa, Kansas.
Charlie and Debbie lived most of their adult life in Shawnee, Kansas where they raised their daughter, Maria, and enjoyed their granddaughters, Jamie and Naomi. Charlie was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a carpenter and known as a kind and gentle man. Charlie became a United States citizen and served his country in Vietnam.
Charlie’s ashes will be interred at Kingsville Cemetery in Kingsville, Missouri alongside those of his wife on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at 11:00 am
