Webster "Webb" Bruce Waterman

Webster “Webb” Bruce Waterman, passed  away on January 21, 2018 peacefully surrounded by his loving family.  Webb is survived by his beautiful wife, Beth Reichmeier-Waterman, his son, Zachary, his son Eli (Sarah) and grandson Atticus, as well as his mother and father, Carol and Webb, and sisters Cathy, Lori, and Kelly.
 
 
Webb was a Kansas City sports enthusiast and fan of the Chiefs, Royals, and Jayhawks.  He enjoyed sharing his love of sports with his sons, coaching them in baseball and reminding them to always maintain a ‘level swing’.  
 
 
Webb was a life-long guitarist and musician, lead guitarist of the band Missouri, and performed concerts with such rock legends as Willie Nelson, the Grateful Dead, ZZ Top,  Rush, The Cars and the Rolling Stones. Webb and Beth married in Kaiui, Hawaii in 2008 and came home to reside in Overland Park, KS with their animals. Recently, Webb was lead guitarist in Ten Shades of Red. In his later years, Webb loved long walks with his wife and dogs, and was a regular volunteer with his wife at the SPCA animal rights organization.  The couple also enjoyed volunteering for the Special Olympics and Catholic Charities.
 
 
A Celebration of Life is planned for 6:00 pm, Thursday, January 25th at Porter Funeral Home, 8535 Monrovia, Lenexa Ks. Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm.  Donations are accepted in lieu of flowers for the support of the Great Plains SPCA and Catholic Charities.

Beth, I'm so sorry to hear of Webb's death. I can't imagine the emptiness and sorrow you must feel right now losing your true love and best friend. While I didn't really know Webb, it sounds like he was your soul mate and someone who shared so many things in common, including your love of pets.
