William Crafton Dillingham, Age: 70

William Crafton Dillingham, son of David Mack and Laura Victoria (Crafton) Dillingham, was born May 20, 1947 in Kansas City, Missouri, and died, after a battle with cancer, at the age of 70 years, January 25, 2018, at the St. Luke’s Hospice House, in Kansas City, Missouri. Bill was a 1965 graduate of North Kansas City High School. He attended Kansas State University, in Manhattan, Kansas, where he pursued an education in Architecture. He was a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity, and continued working with the Alumni Association through his remaining years; holding the office of Secretary to the Board of the Kansas Beta House Association at his passing. He was an avid sports fan; and in his spare time, built and maintained model railroads. He was a Vietnam Veteran, serving in the U.S. Army from 1970 – 1972, honorably discharged with the rank of Sergeant. Bill was preceded in death by his parents; a nephew, Rick Landingham; a niece, Deanna Landingham Brown. He is survived by his son, Graham Hazen Dillingham of Kansas City North, Missouri; his brother, David M. Dillingham, also of Kansas City North; a sister, Barbara E. (Richard) Landingham, of Lake Tapawingo; nieces, Victoria Landingham, Candee (Joe) Pope and Heidi (John) Eichkorn; and other relatives and friends. In accordance with Bill’s wishes, his remains were cremated.
