Bill was born in Omaha, Nebraska  but lived most of his life in Kansas City, MO. At KU Bill joined the ROTC and graduated  Lieutenant. After KU, he entered the US Air Force and was stationed in Germany during the Korean War.

During the 50+ years running his life insurance agency, Bill enjoyed working with his many clients in the Kansas City area.

He loved golf, the Chiefs, and especially the Kansas City Royals.

In 1963, Bill married Jean Welsh and raised 3 sons, who in turn gave them 5 adorable granddaughters.

For years and years he started each day with a long walk and always had a pleasant hello and wave for his neighbors.
