Al Hess, 71 of Leawood, passed away on 3/18/2018.  Al is survived by his loving wife Karen, his children Marc(& Kristi), Terra and Brandon(& Jamie), 4 grandchildren Emma, Wyatt, Gavin, Brett, 3 sisters; Elaine, Laurie and Judi and a brother Howard.  Al was born in Town of Union, NY and raised on a dairy  farm.  Al was a proud member of the Marine Corp and served time in Vietnam.  In 1989, Al and his family moved to Leawood, where he became an active member of the Kanas City Porsche Club.  Al was also very involved with the Used Truck Association(UTA), an association dedicated to helping Class 8 Used Truck Dealers.  A service will be held on 3/23/2018 at Congregation Beth Torah at 10am in his honor.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Used Truck Association Scholarship Fund or Pancreatic Cancer Action Network https://www.pancan.org/.
