James G. Hedges, 90, Leawood, KS passed away on April 9, 2018. Born Oct 3, 1927 in Excelsior Springs, MO to Byron & Irma Hedges.  Graduated Pembroke Day High School in 1946 and Westminster College, Fulton, MO.  Served US Marine Corps in WWII.  Owner of Hedges Real Estate Appraisers, member of AIREA & SREA. Member of Colonial Presbyterian Church for 45 years, attended Primetimers Sunday School. Leaves wife of 42 years, Marilyn; children Aileen (Barry) Anderson & James (Lillian) Hedges Jr; stepchildren John (Mary) and Jay (Jan) Frankenberg; siblings Richard & Don Hedges & Betty Blanche, 7 grandchildren & 7 great grandchildren.  Celebration of life will be held Friday, April 13 at 10:00 AM at Colonial Presbyterian Church at 9500 Wornall Rd, Kansas City, MO 64114. Private future burial at Masonic Cemetery, Excelsior Springs, MO.  Special thanks to the care givers at Village Shalom and KC Hospice.  In lieu of flowers please donate to Colonial Presbyterian Church or KC Hospice House 12000 Wornall Rd, KC, MO 64145.
