Norma Kay (Lesco) Hauser
May 05, 1951 - Sep 12, 2018

Norma, 67, of Olathe KS, passed away at home on September 12, 2018 after several years of illness.

Norma, nicknamed and known by all as “Bobbi,” was born May 5, 1951 in Kansas City MO, daughter of Norman and Juanita Lesco of Overland Park KS, which is where she grew up until she left for college.

She earned a teaching degree from Emporia State University, and was a passionate and talented elementary school teacher for many years. Emporia is also where she met her future husband, Larry Hauser. The two were happily married for 45 years.

Bobbi and Larry have three children: sons, Matthew, who passed away as an infant; and Zachary (Katie); and daughter, Courtney (Michael). Bobbi adored granddaughter, Violet, who shares the same middle name. In her, we see the same spunky, full-of-life qualities that are undeniably Bobbi. Grandson, James, expected this fall.

Bobbi loved being with her family and friends more than anything. She loved deeply and shared her warmth, compassion and sense of humor with every person she met.

Memorial service will be at 10 am, Monday, September 17 at Saint Luke’s Lutheran Church, 722 Reynolds Ave, KCK. In lieu of flowers please send donations to The Disciple Garden in care of Saint Luke’s.

Friend of Zach ,Fairway ,Kansas

I (Eric) only had the pleasure of meeting Bobbi once, during a visit she paid with Larry to D.C. to see their son Zach with whom I lived at the time. I recall her kindness and sense of humor--characteristics that Zach most certainly inherited. I am grieving with the Hauser family in their loss. May God's peace and comfort be with you.
