Jean passed away November 12, at age 90 with family by her side. She was born to Lonie and Bethel Farmer on May 29, 1928 in Santa Paula, CA. She moved to Goodson, MO as a child and grew up on a farm with six siblings. In 1950 she moved to Kansas City and met and married the love of her life, Earl Pearce. They had four children and a great life till Earl died unexpectedly at age 44. She worked at Penney’s as a catalog supervisor till retirement. Jean enjoyed sewing, doing alterations for others, crocheting (made over 100 baby blankets to give away) and cross-stitching pictures. Her collection of Emmett Kelly stitched pictures is stunning. She was the best mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. A great cook and sports fan, especially the St. Louis Cardinals. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and son Jim Pearce. She is survived by her daughter Patty (Rick) Orrick, son Dan (Lori) Pearce and daughter Debbie O’Shea. Grandchildren Doug (Michele) Pearce, Jennifer (Cheryl) Wah, Nick (Lindsey) Orrick, Sarah (Justin) Hunting, Joseph Wagner, Kelly O’Shea and Jaimie Pearce. Great grandchildren Payton, Tanner, Lucy, Olivia, Leighton, Logan, Ian and Cora. Also survived by sisters Geraldine, Kay and brother LJ. Services private. Contributions in Jean’s name to St. Jude’s Hospital.

Loved this woman so much. She was a pillar of strength and I always admired her for it. Our Dad would enjoyed talking sports wth her and it always made him smile. One of a kind.
