Steven P. Thomas, Age: 64

Steven P. Thomas age 64 died June 8, 2019 at the VA Hospital.  He was born to Alfred and Florinda Thomas (both deceased) on November 25, 1954. At an early age he was baptized at Paseo Baptist Church and he graduated from Lincoln High School in 1973.

 

 

 

Steven worked various jobs before joining the Army in 1980 and he served until 1983 as an equipment operator. After his discharge he worked several other jobs until finding employment with Blount International (Frederick Mfg.) as a warehouseman. After retiring he had a passion for working on and towing older automobiles and trucks.

 

 

 

He is survived by his daughter, Dr. Kelly Hubbard (Jason), four grandchildren, Emily, Jason Jr., Kaylee and Katie of Houston, Texas; his former wife Brenda of Belton, Mo.; three brothers Edward (Sadie) of Wilmer, Alabama, Marvin (Kaye) and A.C. (Lilly) of Kansas City and numerous other relatives and friends.

 

 

 

Committal of cremains will be held promptly at the Leavenworth National Cemetery, 150 Muncie Road, Leavenworth, Kansas, at 9:00 am on June 27, 2019

I'm sorry to hear of the loss of Steve. He was a great man and always willing to help. We worked together at Blount and towed a few cars together. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.
