Shirley was a church friend of mine. We were in many Sunday school classes together as well as being in this church together for close to 40 years. Our kids were growing up there at the same time as well. I remember one time when the church had a purple quilt up for a drawing and you had to buy a ticket I think to win it after a drawing. She wanted it so bad she bought many tickets. I had bought one and won it. I gave her that quilt and she was soooo moved by it I could have sneezed wrong and she would be all over me making sure I was ok. She was so appreciative that I loved her even more. That was very special about her, more so than anyone I know. Bless you all. We all will miss Shirley but know she is so happy with our Lord in heaven.

I am so sad to hear about the passing of such a dear lady. I so enjoyed spending time with Shirley at Gashland through the Senior Singles Ministry. We made a lot of wonderful memories and I know she will be sorely missed. Praise God that she is fellowshipping with Jesus and the saints in heaven. My love and sympathy to Angela and the family.

I remember Shirley as someone who always went out of her way to speak to me and was a very loyal friend to people she was close to. I can't remember when I didn't know her at our church (Gashland Evangelical Presbyterian). I knew her Daughter, Angela, who was always ready to greet my husband and I when she saw us. I will miss Shirley, but know she is with her Jesus. Shirley was very faithful to her beliefs in our God.
