Frank was one of the first people I met at KCPL. He sometimes gave me a ride home after work in a tiny sports car that I was young enough to get into. I remember when he came to tell me Linda was having twins. He was awestricken. I worked with Frank on an award-winning project (all I did was word processing) and had such respect for him then, and always. Frank was kind, funny, and smart. His best job was babysitting his grandchildren. It was a gift to know him and I will never forget him.

Frank was always and first a family man. During the last year he and I texted during sporting events when I was sure he was in his chair with the phone on a table close by. We both loved college basketball. His first and only real love was his family. When my daughter adopted her first a year ago he was very happy for me. He knew that I was adopted also. Another child rescued. At times I know I drove him nuts but he hung in there to my benefit and the Company's. He related to all people in the organization and treated them with respect. This world needs more Frank Branca's. Rest in peace. As a Cancer survivor I will keep working with folks in need in your honor. Lee

I'm very sorry to hear about Frank's passing. I had the privilege of knowing Frank at KCPL from 1981 through his retirement. He was the consummate professional, and had a great sense of humor and a positive outlook on life. I'm glad that he had time in retirement to spend with his family; I remember him telling me shortly before he retired that he was looking forward to assembling a swing set for grandchildren. You have my sincerest sympathies. Mark English
