Robert "Bob" M. Witt, Sr., Age: 94

          On Thursday, August 15th, 2019, Robert “Bob” M. Witt, Sr. passed away peacefully at the age of 94. He was born August 1, 1925 in Brumley, MO to Richard and Altha Witt as one of eleven children. He lived in Brumley, MO until his family moved to Kansas City, KS where he met and married Dorothy Wynes. He had two children with Dorothy, Connie and Robert “Bobby” Jr. He worked for the General Motors Assembly Plant for over 30 years, during which time he met and married Jeanette Lowe. He and Jeanette had a son, Lesley W. Witt.

            After his retirement, Bob moved to Bevier, MO to devote time to what he loved, gardening, fishing, and playing guitar. Bob learned to play guitar at the age of four, giving our world ninety years of beautiful music. He loved country music the most, and often referred to himself as a “picker”. He had recently moved from Bevier to Macon, MO to assist in the care of his late wife Kathy Baker until she passed.

            Bob is preceded in death by his sons, wife, and nine siblings. He is survived by his daughter Connie Sparks, sister Georgia Knight, step-children and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

Just sitting here at breakfast thinking about how much you enjoyed your favorite breakfast meals that Gary Cooked for you. (Two eggs, two sausage, two toast with apple butter and your Sunny D orange juice) I am thankful for the time we had together before your passing. Gary and I love you so much and will miss you so badly! There is a piece of my heart that is missing since you are gone😪
