Robert “Bob” Moore of South Kansas City, Missouri passed away in his home on December 20, 2015. Bob was born on July 23, 1946 in Parsons, West Virginia to Herbert “Herbie” and Wanda Moore (both deceased). Bob is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Cynthia “Cindy” Moore, of the home, two daughters, Nicole Chandler and her husband Todd Chandler of Sheridan, Arkansas and Dr. Staci Jordan and her husband Troy Jordan of Cleveland, Missouri and two granddaughters, Christina Jordan and Hannah Jordan.
Bob was in the Air Force and served one tour in the Vietnam War, stationed in Thailand. While in the Air Force Bob was stationed at Richards Gebaur Air Base in Belton, Missouri. Upon being honorably discharged, Bob joined the Kansas City, Missouri Police Department where he served until he retired after 25 years. He was an avid sports fan and was thrilled to see his Royals win the World Series and to see his Chiefs start winning again. He loved to dance whether it be disco dancing in the 1970’s or the country two step in the 1980’s and 90’s. Bob will be missed by the extended family he left behind.
There will be a Memorial Service Monday December 28, 2015 at 3:00 pm at Belton Assembly of God Church, 613 E North Ave., Belton, Missouri with a Celebration of Life to follow at Mama Tio’s Mexican Restaurant, 8026 Paseo, Kansas City, Missouri. Bob loved a pot luck so please bring your favorite covered dish and stories to share.
