Mervin E. Fisher, age 83, of Gladstone, MO, passed away June 5, 2020.
Mervin was born January 5, 1937. He is survived by his devoted wife of nearly 64 years, Shirley A. Arneson Fisher.
Survivors include 5 sons and daughters: Tim (Beth) Fisher, Cindy Fisher, Steve Fisher, Alan (Wanda) Fisher, Stacy (Terry) Schneider; 8 grandchildren: Stephanie Lund; Nick, Justin, Jeremiah, Daniel, & Christopher Fisher; Terry & Benjamin Schneider; and 7 great-grandchildren: Zach & Hayden Lund; and Ryan, Caitlyn, Colin, Silas, & Evelyn Mae Fisher.
He was preceded in death by his aunt Clara A. Bauer, father Loren O. Fisher, mother Leona Brodersen Doolittle, and stepdad Charles Doolittle.
He retired from Certain-Teed in 2001, a month short of 44 years. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, Bingo, home brew, coin collecting, reading, cigars and the casino. He loved to tinker with small engines and antique gadgets.
Private burial will take place at Monticello Union Cemetery, KS at a later date.
