Cory Elliot Smith, Age: 47
May 28, 1973 - Nov 07, 2020

Cory Elliot Smith, 47, of Kansas City, passed away on November 7, 2020. He was born on May 28, 1973 in Kansas City, Missouri to Betty (Mangum) Berkley and Clyde Smith. After graduating from Belton High School, Cory worked in the printing industry, where he worked until his passing.   Cory also enjoyed working in the lawn and landscape business part-time.

Cory enjoyed being outdoors doing such things as hiking, hunting, fishing and horseback riding. Cory had a great love of music and enjoyed playing his guitar for friends and family.  Cory was very charismatic and touched the lives of many.  His friends and family take great comfort in knowing that Cory knew the Lord and  that his years of pain and sorrow are over. Cory is free and his soul is at peace with his Savior.

Cory is survived by both of his parents; and Step-father Ed Berkley, and Step-mother Pam Smith; his siblings, Chad Smith, Beth Wilson, Carla (Smith) Beebe, Adam (Diana) Berkley and Brian (Yoshi) Berkley; his two children Jessica Brigman and Clayton Smith; and 7 nieces and nephews, Makayla, Austin, Duncan, Kiowa, Isaiah, Yamato and Hannah. Your prayers for the family are greatly appreciated.

Many have asked where donations can be made in the family name. The American Diabetes Association is one that is close to the families heart ( Cory longed for a diabetes cure) along with any reputable cause related to the treatment of the family disease of addiction.
