Stephen James Jackson, Age: 71

Stephen James Jackson was born December 1, 1949 in St. Louis, MO. to Rita Faye Rapert and Wilbern James Jackson.  Steve went to be with the Lord Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at home after a battle with cancer.

He was a CTT3 in the U.S. Navy from 1969-1973.  He was a Hub Manager for the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad .

He is survived by his wife of 50 years and 7 months, Linda Cartwright.  They have three sons, four grandsons and one granddaughter.  He also, is survived by one sister, Sandra Scott of Boaz, Ky and one brother, Troyce Christopher Jackson of St. John, MO.  Also, surviving are three nephews and six nieces, many blessed great nephews and great nieces.

A Celebration of Life will be held March 13, 2021, 1:30 PM at Briarcliff Church.

Steve and I first met in the late 70’s or early 80’s we had similar likes, had both served in the Navy with similar jobs and a lot of mutual friends on the railroad. Steve was a good man. I’ll miss my friend.

Linda and family, I am deeply saddened to hear about Steve passing in February. I am a member of the coffee team at church and always enjoyed the conversations I had with him on Sunday mornings. I attended the beautiful online service yesterday. I had no idea he was such a gifted artist. My deepest sympathies to you and your family. You are in my prayers.
