Nickolas Joseph Byrum, Age: 32
Nov 03, 1988 - Mar 15, 2021

It is with great sadness, and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Nick Byrum, AKA Nick Draskovich, aged 32, who died unexpectedly in Lawrence, Kansas, on March 15, 2021.

Born on November 3, 1988, in Kansas City, Missouri, where he lived most of his life surrounded family and friends, and where he went on to gain titles such as son, nephew, cousin, father, and friend.

Throughout Nick’s life, he mastered many things, and had a huge love for sports, especially baseball and basketball. He enjoyed a variety of music and movies, spending time with friends and family, cooking, watching documentaries, and being a Dad. His life’s ambition was to be happy, have a big family, and be a great father. Most that knew him would describe him as funny, intelligent, loyal, big hearted, and loving.

Though Nick struggled to find his happiness, and has left us way too early, we have comfort in knowing that his spirit will live on with all of us, and that he is no longer in pain. Loved by many, and memories shared and sacred, we will continue to honor his name, and raise awareness. He will be missed dearly.

Nick will be missed by many. If you only knew how to love yourself the way we loved you. Your laugh could make me laugh. You loved your children so much. They gave you the unconditional love back to you. I miss you every moment. I never thought I would have to bury one of my children. The pain is the worst ive ever experienced. God will take care if you now. If I could just have 3/15/21 start over again. To tell you how much.I loved you. May you never feel sadness again. Your sister and I will make sure your children are taken care of always. I know you will never leave their side. Until we meet again Mom xoxo
