John Henry Weatherbee

John Henry Weatherbee age 58 of Westphalia, KS died at the Anderson County Hospital after a short battle with colon cancer on July 19, 2021.

 

He was born in Eureka, KS on June 10, 1963 to Priscilla and Roscoe Weatherbee, he attended Ottawa High School and graduated in the class of 1981 and spent his time between a career in construction and fishing.

 

John married Vanessa Everson in 2000 they and had two sons. He is survived by his two sons Micaleb 23 and Roscoe 20 both of Westphalia, KS. and one daughter Brooklynn Williams 28 of Garnett, KS. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Vanessa.

So sorry to hear of the passing of John. He was a year ahead of me but was in my brothers class, Chris Turner. I am still in contact with many of my friends from Ottawa, so they are keeping me updated on our fellow classmates. I just lost my wife of 27 years so I know the emptiness and sorrow you must be feeling. Grieve in your own time frame and in whatever manner you grieve in. It’s your loss, only you know how much he meant to you, so take your time, everyone is different and grieves in their own manner. So my thoughts and prayers are with your family as you deal with this emotional times. God bless you all.
