John Flores

John Flores age 63 was welcomed home by angels, on July 22, 2021. He is survived by his wife Julie; daughters Melissa Serrano, her husband John A. & Theresa Kivett, her husband Aaron, & son John A. Flores; stepsons: Grant Repshire, his wife Lucie, and Jace Repshire with his partner Michael Davis; granddaughters: Natalia, Amelia, Anne, Riley & Ellie; grandsons: Anthony John and Matthew; brothers Henry Flores Jr, his wife Cindy and David Flores Sr, his wife Dianne; sisters Hope Morris and her husband, Bill &, Louise Ali and her husband, Shoukat; also his much loved nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. He was preceded by his father and mother Enrique Lopez Flores Sr. and Concha Rose Hernandez, as well as his older sister, Theresa Francine. 
 
 
John was raised in many areas of United States but settled in Colorado where he graduated high school at Weld Central in 1976. After graduation, John worked for his dad and brother’s pipeline company for a while before moving to KC for college then settled there for 43 years. His excellent leadership had bought him into a lot of management and administrative positions for several fast food restaurants and telecommunications. He had profound love for sports especially KC Royals and KC Chiefs. He was an umpire for youth and HS baseball for 20 years. His pride for family and neighborhood was felt by all those around him.  He loved to entertain often and loudly with great food, music, friends and family. His love for hot dogs, watermelon & popsicles were legendary.
 
 
John’s Celebration of Life will be held on July 25th for family and friends. Prayers out to the family of John. I was lucky to have met John while attending trade school. I got John on at Long John silvers at the time and he become passionate about the restaurant business. David and John were great friends while attending school. John will always be remembered. Lloyd and Shelia Harold.
