Laurie Susan Burr

Laurie Susan Burr of Kansas City, Missouri passed away October 10, 2021. Laurie was born December 30, 1955 in K.C., Mo., daughter of Maxine Pagel Burr and Russell Burr. Laurie was known for her contagious and genuine laugh, love of animals and making music playing her guitar. Her artistic talents in designs she created were on t-shirts, maps, brochures, etc. for Camp Little Flower and are on display at the Raytown Historical Museum.  She went on to co-own and run The Design Studio in San Diego, California. Upon moving back to K.C. Laurie spent 30 years in the printing industry. Laurie leaves her sister, Melissa Burr Jackson of Prairie Village, Kansas and was preceded in death by both parents, and both brothers, Walter Jeffrey Burr and Gary Burr. She was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend to many. Her family expresses their appreciation to her many caring friends and family who gave their time and love to Laurie. Her wonderful attitude helped her to live three years after being diagnosed with Stage Four cancer. May she Rest In Peace and comfort united with family in heaven above and her legacy of kindness be fondly remembered.

This side of the family will definitely miss Laurie although her memory remains with us. She was the epitome' of a "one-off" -- the one and the only. She was a genuinely-nice person with a great sense of humor. We could use more like that these days.
