Carol Ann Usher, loving mother, sister, and daughter passed away peacefully at home in the company of her family on November 11, 2021, at the age of 64. Carol was born to Roy and Joyce Sanderson on Christmas Day 1956 in Harrisburg, PA. She spent her childhood in Pennsylvania. She moved to the Kansas City area in her late teens and began her family. She later relocated to California early in her professional life and settled into the Bay Area. She loved the beautiful mountain landscape, beaches and positive feel of the area and its people. She worked as a Chemist in the IT world helping to plate computer hardware. After suffering a stroke in 2008 she moved back to Kansas City to be close to her children. She was diagnosed with cancer in 2012 and fought it for many years.
Carol enjoyed many things in life, including reading books, watching movies, collecting wildflowers, camping, roller skating and sewing. She loved traveling and often spoke of her trips to South America with close friends. She was a fan of the holidays and truly loved celebrating. Above all else, Carol loved her family more than words could describe.

She was preceeded in death by her parents, grand parents and siblings. She is survived by her children Dan Usher of Platte City, MO and Daughter Janell Young (Brian) of Las Vegas, NV. Her 9 grandchildren: Sarah, Andrew, Toby, Adrian, Victor, Natalie, Jacob, Quinn, and Katie. And friend Luis Barretto.

The family will hold a memorial celebration in the spring to remember a life well lived.
