Marjorie Dalice Sturm, Age: 58

Marjorie Dalice Sturm was born in Jackson County, MO., October 30, 1963 to Benjamin and Cleo Boxx.  On May 2, 2022, Marge lost her life to a long term illness of Tuberous Sclerosis. 

Marge was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin Ralph Boxx and Cleo Allene (Leake) Boxx, Sister, Darlene Redenbaugh, and brother, Norman Boxx.  She is survived by her loving husband, Marvin Sturm (Excelsior Springs, MO).  Daughters, Christina Cummings (Butler, MO)  and Sultana Moffett (Lawson, MO). Step-daughter, Kimberly Akers and husband Troy(Kansas City,MO). Step-son Darin Sturm and wife Debbie(Butler, MO). Brothers Jesse Boxx and wife Julie (Australia), Bennie Boxx and wife Linda (Arizona).   Granddaughters, Brandy, Karleigh, Kenzington Moffett, Nadine Cummings, and step-granddaughter Katie Schartz.  Grandson Wyatt Moffettand step-grandson Anthony Schartz and wife Aschleigh and numerous extended families. 

Marge lived all of her life in the Lawson, Missouri area and attended Lawson schools.  She never knew a stranger and loved to visit with everyone.   Marge loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved  the holidays and family gatherings.  Bird watching was one of her favorite pastimes and she was particularly fond of Redwing Blackbirds. You would often hear Marge listening to country music and singing along, especially to Loretta Lynn (a distant cousin).  She liked to study Native American heritage and researching her own ancestry of the Cherokee Nation. She loved magical things such as unicorns and dream catchers. The fourth of July you would always see her watching fireworks.     

Marge married Marvin on March 17, 2007. They purchased their home in Excelsior Springs with their  best friend Mack (dog). Marvin and Marge attended Lawson United  Methodist Church. As Marge’s illness progressed, she lived the past five years in the Lawson Manor Nursing Home. 

The family  appreciates Three Rivers Hospice who cared for Marge in the last months of her life, especially Tabitha, Chelsea, Tia, Deb, and Paul.  May is Tuberous Sclerosis awareness month and is represented by a blue ribbon. Blue was Marge’s favorite color. 

Please join us for Marge’s  Celebration of Life, Saturday May 7, 2022 at 2:00 p.m., Lawson United Methodist Church,  504 N. Pennsylvania Ave, Lawson, MO 64062.  Marge has been cremated per her wishes.
