Marcia Evelyn Bushnell, 90, of Kansas City, MO, passed away on March 6, 2022. Funeral services will be on June 4, 2022 at 10 a.m. at the United Methodist Church of the Resurrection in Blue Springs, 601 NE Jefferson St., Blue Springs, MO 64014. She lived most recently in Kansas City, and formerly in Ft. Lauderdale and Tampa, FL; Edmond and Oklahoma City, OK; Anchorage, AK; Renton, WA; Tachikawa, Japan; Brussels, Belgium; Frankfurt, Germany; and Jeddah, Saudia Arabia.

Brody William Morrow, Marcia’s 10 year old great grandson, is battling Ataxia-Telangiectasia, a rare progressive, degenerative disease that affects a startling variety of body systems. 

Marcia is preceded in death by her husband, Jerome Patrick Bushnell, her son Mark Patrick Bushnell, and grandson Cody Lee Gray. She was born on March 20, 1932 to her father, Berle Edward Dunham, and her mother Alfreda Margaret Tibbetts Dunham in Ottumwa, Iowa. She is survived by her children, Debra Dee Bushnell Stidham, Gregory Bruce Bushnell, William Douglas Bushnell, and Brent Alan Bushnell; their spouses Patrick Murray Stidham, Robin Keen Bushnell, Lynette Bushnell, and Melinda Morgan; grandchildren Casey Cougar Bushnell Gray, Cassie Jean Gray, Kerry Marie Bushnell, Megan Lorraine Bushnell DePauw, Erinn Elizabeth Bushnell Navarro, Blake Bushnell Morrow, and Morgan Brady Bushnell; and great grandchildren Koral Penelope Gray, Klementine Paislee Gray, Broderick William Salmonson, Quinn Lorraine DePauw, Keely Mykel DePauw, Mason Parker Navarro, Hadley Makenna Navarro, Ryan Thomas Morrow, and Brody William Morrow.

Marcia and Jerry travelled extensively during their 48 years of marriage. She studied four foreign languages, and operated a brass rubbing studio in both Belgium and Edmond, Oklahoma. Also a lover of writing, she wrote an unpublished book, and won several poetry awards. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
