Christie Anna LeVota
May 07, 1970 - Jan 27, 2023

Christie Anna LeVota of Independence, Missouri passed away at home on January 27th 2023 surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with brain cancer. Christie was born on May 7, 1970. Attended Raytown schools, after graduating from Raytown High School in 1988, she went on to receive a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Missouri State University.

On March 17, 1993, Christie met Steve LeVota on an amazing St. Patrick’s Day celebration in Westport.  Two years later, on St. Patrick’s Day of 1995, Steve proposed to Christie.  They were married on November 4, 1995. Christie and Steve then went on to create an incredible life together only made better with the addition of their two children, Audrey Anna LeVota and Jack Samuel LeVota.

It is a much too often used phrase but it is so appropriate for Christie: “If you knew her, you loved her.” Christie was the personification of love, caring, and fun. Her smile and personality lit up a room and she made everyone she touched feel like they were the most important people in the world, because to Christie, they were.

Christie loved deeply and lived her life with Steve, Audrey, and Jack and never let a day go by where she didn’t tell them and show them that she loved them. She was blessed with so much loving family and caring friends in her lifetime and she made sure to let them know she loved them also.

The world is less bright without Christie with us but God has gained an amazing new angel and Christie’s battle and pain is over.

Christie was predeceased by her mother Sharon Keith. She is survived by her husband Steve; her daughter, Audrey LeVota; her son, Jack LeVota; her father, Ed Keith; brother-in-law & sister-in-law Paul LeVota and Nancy LeVota; brother-in-law & sister-in-law, Phil and Lanette LeVota; brother-in-law & sister-in-law, Greg and Marci LeVota, brother & sister-in-law, Brian Keith and Karen Keith; sister & brother-in-law, Amy Keith Williamson and Sy Williamson, and her nephews and nieces, Drew LeVota, Lindsey LeVota Hansen, Meghan LeVota, Madeline LeVota, Brendan Keith, Spencer Keith, Kaylee Keith,  Jacob Keith, Emory Keith and her mother-in-law & father-in law Linda and Ray Halvorson and the Halvorson family, Jim, Carrie, Aiden, and Jena.

Words can not convey the sorrow we feel, and the heartfelt condolences to you the family. Let me share with you, what I have found solstice in. While it is often hard for us to understand God's plan, despite this, he does have a plan. God does has a very special addition to his angels. Let us find Christie's loving spirit, sentiment and touch in each positive moment we collectively have left. Let's cherish and forever be full of gratitude for the time we had with Christie. I know I am, and want to believe she is looking down from above saying that's right! Remember the good times we had, the wonderful and fun memories we made, that she had enriched each of us with. Lets hold on to the greatness of Christie, and how she made her mark on us.
