Brenda May Mangiere, age 85, of Lee’s Summit, MO, entered into eternal rest on October 30, 2024. Born on January 19, 1939, to the late Thomas and Eileen (Laberge) Boland, Brenda brought joy, compassion, and strength to all who knew her. 

 

Brenda was a lifelong reader with a deep love for novels of every kind, and her kind heart led her to serve others through her volunteer work at St. Mary’s Food Pantry in Independence, MO. Above all, her life was devoted to her family, whom she cherished beyond measure. 

 

She is survived by her beloved husband, Michael Anthony Mangiere of Lee’s Summit, MO; her two daughters, Jodi Nichelson of Independence, MO, and Tracy Hatcher of Tallahassee, FL; and her grandchildren, Michael Celi (and his wife Courtney), Dylan Nichelson, and Aaron Hatcher (and his wife Alanna), as well as her great-grandson, Abel Hatcher. She also leaves behind her sister Barbara Perrotti (and her husband Raymond) and brother Barry Boland (and his wife Linda). Brenda was preceded in death by her parents and her sisters, Beverly and Bonnie. 

 

In lieu of a service, we ask that, in remembrance of Brenda’s giving spirit, donations be made to the Disabled American Veterans Charity on her behalf. Her memory lives on in the lives she touched.
