In Loving Memory of Pamela “Nana” Jean Gossey
September 25, 1946 – Memorial Day May 26,2025

Pamela “Nana” Jean Gossey, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and woman of unwavering faith, passed away peacefully on the night of Memorial Day 2025 at the age of 78. Known for her timeless beauty, strong character, and fierce devotion to her family, Pamela's life was a shining example of love, grace, and perseverance.

Born on September 25, 1946, in Marshall, Missouri, to Albert and Iva Kirchoff, Pamela was raised with the values of kindness, humility, and faith—principles that guided her throughout her life. Though she lived in various places over the years, she spent her later life in Gladstone, Missouri, surrounded by the family she so dearly loved.

For 57 extraordinary years, she was married to her soulmate, Robert “Bob” Joseph Gossey, known lovingly as Papa Gossey. Their marriage was one of deep love, unwavering loyalty, and true partnership.

She was the proud mother of Robert Eric Gossey (wife Meski Gossey) and Felicia Ann Gossey (husband Brian Shaul).
Pamela was a devoted grandmother to Joseph Frank Gossey, Chase Wendle, Noah Gossey, Kacey Shaul, and Victoria Findley (husband Tony Findley);  and a loving great-grandmother to: Kash Williams-Shaul, Iva Findley, Deegan Findley, and Reed Findley

She was affectionately known as “Nana”, a name that came to define her gentle strength, her nurturing soul, and her remarkable ability to create a sense of home wherever she was.

Pamela spent over 30 years working for Home Interiors, where she became a respected leader and a nationally recognized top saleswoman multiple times. Her entrepreneurial spirit and ability to inspire others left a lasting impact on her colleagues and customers alike.

A devout Christian, Pamela’s faith was the foundation of her life. She lived by example, showing compassion, humility, and generosity in everything she did. Her home was filled not only with love and family, but also with faith and the warmth of prayer.

Pamela also had a deep love for animals and was “mom” to many cherished dogs over the years: Charlie Pride, Ebony, Lilly, Sophie, Tippy, Scarlett, Rebel and Jules. Each brought joy to her heart and companionship throughout her life.

She will be remembered for her radiant presence, her deep wisdom, her quick wit, and the way she loved—with her whole heart. Pamela “Nana” Gossey was a guiding light for her family and all who knew her, and her legacy will live on for generations.

“Her life was a blessing. Her memory a treasure. She is loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.”

She was preceded in death by her parents Albert and Iva Kirchhoff, brother Robert Kirchhoff and daughters Iva Sophia and Felicia Ann. Pamela is survived by husband Robert J Gossey, son Robert And Meski Gossey, Son in law Brain Shaul, grandchildren Kacey Shaul, Joseph Frank and LaDuska Gossey, Victoria and Tony Findley, Chase Wendel, and Noah Godsey. Four great grandchildren. Sister Patricia Bassett and sister in law Carol Kirchhoff and many nieces and nephews.

I knew Pam through Home Interiors. She was such a wonderful person to talk with. Later on when we were older she would always ask me how I was doing. I will miss her in her high heels and how she presented herself.

Bob, Eric, and family. The Barreras and Gosseys have known each other for years and years. Our families have intertwined through our church, our children and your love for our food. We spent many "meals" together at El Sombrero. Pam's favorite was a cheese covered burrito. I remember one time her coming to the window and saying "I have to have another one, that was so good". We still think of you Bob,always teasing you are going to go to taco bell. You must be grieving so much right now. I am praying for the whole family. She was a jewel. Love to all.
