Paul Robert Goddard II (Rob), 70, of Olathe, Kansas, passed away peacefully on June 3rd 2026 after a courageous battle with multiple myeloma.
Born on May 23rd 1956 in Jonesboro, Arkansas, Rob was the son of Paul and Edna Goddard.
He graduated from the University of Kansas with a degree in chemistry and went on to build a successful career as a chemist.
On March 3rd, 1985, he married Stephanie, and together they shared 41 years of marriage. Family was an important part of his life, and he took great pride in being a husband, father, and grandfather.
Rob was a longtime member of Grace United Methodist Church, where he sang in the choir. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, taking walks, musical theater, and spending time with family.
He is survived by his wife, Stephanie Goddard; his children: Christopher Goddard, wife Amanda Damewood-Goddard; and Kaitlyn McMican, husband Evan McMican; his grandsons, Owen McMican and Lucas McMican; his siblings: Melanie Stattelman, husband Steve; Steve Goddard, wife Xinhua; and many extended family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Paul and Edna Goddard.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 24th at 2pm at Grace United Methodist Church, 11485 S Ridgeview Rd, Olathe, KS 66061. A celebration of life will be held immediately following at 3pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grace United Methodist Church Celebration Choir.
The family would like to thank the healthcare providers, hospice staff, and caregivers who supported Rob throughout his illness. He will be missed tremendously and his memory will be cherished by those who loved him.
