Shirley Ann (Davis) Beaver “Mimi”, passed away on October 12, 2026, at the age of 97.
Shirley was born on March 7, 1929, to Grace Cecilia (Condon) and Palmer John Davis in Edgerton, Wisconsin. Shirley will be laid to rest alongside her husband and parents at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Edgerton, Wisconsin with a service at St. Joseph Catholic Church at 11:00 am, Oct. 27, 2026. She never forgot her hometown roots and always held profound Edgerton pride.
A devoted spouse, mother, and Catholic, Shirley lived a full life. The smile on her face was brightest when she found a deal at a garage sale or when she had a sweet treat in her hand. Rhubarb crisp, an oatmeal chocolate chip “Big Boy” cookie, or a scoop of ice cream were her favorites. Whan any of us came home for a visit, Mimi was looking out the window waiting for us. It always made us feel so warm and welcome. She had Big Boy cookies and a nice meal waiting for us. We always felt her love through her excitement to see us and preparation for our arrival.
For many years, Mimi enjoyed trips to Atlanta, Memphis, Houston and Philadelphia to visit her children and grandchildren. She also packed herself into a full car for the annual family reunions in Door County, WI. She was always ready for shopping, sitting on the wooden swing, visiting with family, and potluck dinners.
Shirley and Ray were active members of the Sunshine Club at Holy Cross Catholic Church. She also shared her sewing skills with the Quilters Club and devoutly attended Adoration weekly for many years.
Shirley was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Raymond Stuart Beaver Jr.
Beautiful and happy memories live on in her sisters, Virginia “Ginger” (preceded in death by Donald) Gostomski, Susan (preceded in death by Daniel Behrens) (Terry) Behrens, and Jane (Raymond) Brooks, her daughters, Sara (Gary) DelNero, Amy (Cleophas) Crasto, and Mary Lee (Matthew) Arnold, her ten grandchildren, Grace (Michael) Dill, Peter DelNero, Joseph (Alice Murphy) DelNero, Rose (Mark) Sitek, John Crasto, Trevor Crasto, William Arnold, Haley (Caleb) Tanner, Jackie (Raza) Abidi, and Jane Arnold, and seven great-grandchildren: John, Cecilia, Francis, Mary, and Catherine Dill, Millie Sitek, and Frances Tanner. Many beloved nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews filled her family tree
