Julie Ann Friedrich, beloved wife and mother passed away on October 14, 2026 in Kansas City, MO at 65 years of age. Julie was born on March 7 1961, in Hawthorne, CA and grew up in Southern California. Julie had one son, Michael Arthur Bosco and two step children. Albert Joseph Bosco and Jennifer Mae Bosco

Julie met the love of her life, Roger Lee Friedrich online. They were married in Weston, MO, on July 1, 2005 and later celebrated their union on the Friedrich family farm in rural Elma, Iowa. They lived, worked and enjoyed the friendship of neighbors and friends in Kansas City MO. and family in California, Iowa. Minnesota, and Missouri. Julie had a fondness for traveling and especially enjoyed trips to the Friedrich family farm. Each trip created fond lifelong memories. 

Julie faced many health issues over the years with courage, and determination. She never let her illness define her. Even with her earthly limitations, she stayed connected with family and friends. 

Family members who have preceded her in death include: her father, Gary Lamar Hughes; her stepfather, Mike Arthur Marta; her son Michael Arthur Bosco; Stepson Lt. Col Albert Joseph Bosco; and her in-laws, Floyd and Alberta Friedrich. Julie is survived by her husband, Roger Lee Friedrich; Mother, Shirley Lucille Marta; her sister Donna Lynn Hadden; brother Richard Roy Hughes; brother Scott Allen Hughes and his wife, Adrianna; Stepdaughter Jennifer Mae Bosco and her daughter Ashley Nicole Bosco;  Roger’s sisters Connie Jean Buresh and her husband Tom and Carol Sue Krueger and her husband Dennis. Julie was also survived by several nieces, nephews, and friends.

Celebration of Life is forthcoming in Hemet, California. Burial will be at St. Paul's Lutheran Church Cemetery, Maple Leaf. IA.
