Barbara J. “Barb” Runyon, 77, formerly of Salina, passed away Tuesday, Dec 19, 2017, in Overland Park. She was born March 22, 1940, in Salina, to Cecil Jellison and B. Marie (Freeman) Jellison-Schollard. She married Tom Runyon Dec. 19, 1959.

Barb worked as a bookkeeper for many years. In later years she worked as a guardian and personal aide, keeping in touch with many clients after her retirement. Barb was an avid reader and loved puzzle books. She enjoyed crocheting. Barb loved dogs and was known for spoiling them. She loved nature and animals and enjoyed bird watching with her husband.

Survivors include: her children, Sandie Runyon, Thomas Runyon IV, and Candie Megee (Myles); sister, Phyllis Boos (Dennis); grandchildren, Cody Rice (Tamara), Thomas "TJ" Runyon V, Taylor Thornton (Lance), Abigail Megee, and Luke Megee.

She was preceded in death by: her husband, Thomas J. Runyon; her parents; and brother, Larry Jellison.
