Dale Sharp
Jun 30, 1947 - Jul 08, 2018

Dale Sharp went home to Jesus, July 8, 2018. Services will be held at Church of the Apostles, 13440 Holmes Rd., Martin City, MO on July 28 at 11:00 am. Reception to follow.

Dale was born June 30, 1947 to George and Elsie Sharp, the youngest of four siblings. He is proceeded in death by his parents and his sister Nina Paterson and brother George (Mike) Sharp.  He is survived by his brother Jerry Sharp and many nieces and nephews.  The family lived in Kansas City, KS.  Dale was employed by Fowler Envelope Company for many years and retired in 2009.

Dale was a simple and humble man who liked nothing better than to ponder.  He will be missed by family and many friends.  He loved to travel to the Colorado mountains and Branson and camp in his vintage Airstream.  He loved to play cards with family and to work puzzles.  He loved animals and had a new puppy, Quigley, that gave him much joy.

Dale loved his family.  He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Brenda Sharp and his daughter Tina Loman.  Dale and Brenda were married on April 21, 1973.   Brenda, Dale, and Tina were inseparable and had many great adventures.

Dale loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and enjoyed serving his church.  Therefore, in lieu of flowers the family would like memorial contributions to be made to his church, Church of the Apostles, PO Box 2842, Olathe, KS 66062.  Memorial contributions can also be made to Kansas City Hospice Foundation who cared for Dale so tenderly.  KC Hospice Foundation, KCHPC, 1500 Meadow Lake Parkway, Suite 200, KCMO 64114

We know that Dale has gone to the Heavenly Kingdom just as Jesus has promised.  And we will meet again in that kingdom to sing praises to the Father.

“But our citizenship is in Heaven.  And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body.”      Philippians 3: 20-21
