Walter Eugene Foster, 71, Faucett, Missouri passed away quietly surrounded by loved ones and friends on Saturday, October 19, 2019, Walter was born February 21, 1948 in St. Joseph MO. He is predeceased by his parents Walter I Foster and Rose Marie (BeBe) Foster.
After being raised on his family's farm in Faucett and graduating from Faucett High School in 1966, he was drafted into the Army and served his country during the Vietnam war. Walter was a patriot and was proud of his service to his country. Once his service ended he returned to St. Joseph to start a family and raise his four children.
He was very active in the South Side youth baseball and wrestling programs, coaching his children in both sports.
Throughout his life he had a passion for hunting, fishing, horses, and auctions. His passion for auctions was so strong that after retiring from International Paper he started Big Wallies Auction and spent the remainder of his retirement years auctioneering.
Walter was survived by his wife RaVon Foster, sons Glenn Foster, Galen Foster, Brandon Foster, daughter Jennifer Cook, stepchildren Gabe Snowden, Jon Snowden, Shauna Hood, and Justin Gardner, as well as 17 grandchildren Jacob, Eli, Izzie, Preston, Isaac, Trevor, Taylor, Hunter, Madison, Maleia, Michael, Ashlyn, Ben, Dylan, Caiden, Jaxon, Ava and 2 great grandchildren Avery, Harlee.
The celebration of life in Walter’s memory will be from 2:00 - 4:30pm Saturday, November 16, 2019 at Big Rigs Family Restaurant, 1303 Grand DD SE, Faucett, Missouri.
