Daniel K. Redmon, Sr. born November 13, 1940 and passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2019, just one day before his 79th birthday.
He was the last surviving sibling of Warren and Beatrice (Anderson) Redmon.
He joined the Navy as a young man and proudly served his family and his country as a naval aviator, flying thousands of missions in his 20 year Naval career.
While stationed in Corpus Christi, Texas, he met the love of his life, Rosario “Rose” Cortez. They were married on July 5th, 1959. As Dan’s naval career took them all over the country, Rose traveled along with three kids in tow.
After retiring from the Navy, Dan moved his family back to the Kansas City area where he worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator as a proud member of Local 101 Union. They soon endured one of the hardest trials imaginable when they lost their beloved Rose to cancer in February 1980.
Dan remained close to his brothers and sisters and never passed up a chance for a good margarita and a party.
