Miss Kathy Wolf died peacefully in her sleep in her bed in Kansas City, Missouri on Tuesday, January 30th at the age of 55 years old.
Kathy is survived by her father, Joseph L. Wolf; her son, Joseph Wolf; her brother, Joe Wolf (Kelly Wolf);her sister, Cheryl L. Madill (Jeff Madill); her beloved grandsons, Bentley and Daxx; her nephews, Joshua Wolf and Matthew Madill; all of Kansas City, Missouri; her niece, Morgann Madill of St.Louis, Missouri. Kathy is preceded in death by her precious mother, Dolores Wolf of Kansas City, Missouri. Kathy was born on June 12, 1964 in Kansas City, Missouri to Joseph L. and Dolores Wolf. Kathy graduated from Winnetonka High School in 1982. She was the Captain of the Pom Pom Squad that were a vital part of the Winnetonka Marching Band under Charles T. Mengini. She performed at the Kansas City Royals World Series and the Orange Bowl Parade. Kathy excelled on the Varsity Girls Basketball and Softball team. Kathy was nominated Homecoming Queen her senior year. Kathy entered into the workforce following high school. She worked at Bendix shortly and then worked on ramp services for Eastern Airlines. Years later she worked at CTI. Kathy finished her career working for Cross Midwest Tires, currently called Pomp Tires, as a sales representative. Kathy will always be remembered for her smile, infectious personality, and her love of people. She was a caregiver to so many people, including many of her son’s friends. Kathy loved her son, Tator (Joe) so much and was the center of her universe. She wasa true hockey mom and supported her son through all the different sports he played. When she became a grandmother, her dreams were fulfilled. She always looked forward to watching her grandkids.
Kathy was a social individual who loved being on the boat at the lake and spending time with her family and dear friends.
She was passionate about taking care of others and donating to her favorite ministry, Hillcrest Ministries. She was a big hockey fan and enjoyed watching her son play goalie and watching NHL hockey games. Kathy was a loving aunt to her nieces and nephews and were their biggest cheerleader. She attended their activities and supported them with her whole heart! Kathy attended two different churches throughout her walk with Christ; Faith Community Church and Antioch Bible Baptist Church. She is rejoicing with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ of whom she loved and trusted for salvation.
The Celebration of Life services is scheduled for 6:00-6:30 visitation followed by service on Thursday, January 30th at Faith Community Church 4214 NW Cookingham Drive Kansas City, Missouri 64164. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Faith Community Church benevolence fund.
