Obituaries detail

Linda K. Jones, Age: 68
May 20, 1952 - Jun 08, 2020

Linda K Jones passed peacefully on June 8th, 2020, surrounded by her loving family, to become one with the Universe.  After almost two years of battling metastatic breast cancer, to say Linda lost would be inaccurate; she never stopped fighting - her spirit and determination always shined through.

Linda was born in Lyndon, KS on May 20, 1952 to Orbin Jones and Dona (Nettleton) Jones. She lived most of her life in Parkville, MO where she dedicated her life to healing others as a physical therapist. She cherished her children, family, and genuine friendships. Her laugh was contagious, and her smile lit up even the darkest of rooms.  Her love of life, kindness, and ability to comfort others will continue to go unmeasured.

Linda is survived by two daughters, Morganne and Tedi, her significant other, Jack, and several close family and friends.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation to help find the cure for breast cancer.

The number of memorial service attendees will be limited. We will be holding a “Parade of Life”, following the service, to celebrate Linda’s life.  Drive-by will be held on June 20th at 9:30 a.m. located at All Souls UU Church - 4501 Walnut Street, Kansas City, Missouri 64111.

I will miss My Linda Lou dearly. I had the pleasure to work under her as her PTA when she retired we remained good friends. I always told her " I'm going to be like her when i Grew up(matured)" she was always a joy to be around, we laughed a lot, she always encouraged me during dark times. Linda although we're far different in age and race she never treated me differently she was never afraid to speak up especially when pertained to women's rights! Ill miss her smile, laugh and straight talk. I know she loved her girls and were so proud to be their mom! Rest Well Ms Linda the world needs more people like you! Love you always!

I send my most heart felt condolences to Morganne, Tedi and all of Linda’s family. To say I loved Linda is an understatement, this woman knew me in my early stages of life before I even knew the kind of woman I wanted to be. I will hold tight and cherish the countless memories I’ve shared with Linda and her family forever. Words always seem difficult to put together to describe how amazing a person is, was, so instead I will say, Linda you will be greatly missed my many.
