Ronald Eugene Marshall
Apr 30, 1950 - Oct 15, 2020

On October 15, 2020, Ronald Eugene Marshall passed away at 70 years of age at home in Blue Springs, Missouri.  Ron was born in St. Joseph, MO, on April 30, 1950 to Donald and Betty Marshall.  He was raised on a farm in Darlington, MO, and graduated from Albany High School in 1968.  He attended Northwest Missouri State College (now known as Northwest Missouri State University).  He received a Bachelors degree in Business in 1972. Ron and Deanna got married on July 27, 1979.

Together they raised three sons, Cody, Tim, and Tadd. He was an avid fan of St. Louis Cardinals’ baseball.  He would tell you that their 1964 season was the greatest season ever! The last five years he wore a Cardinals T-Shirt every day.  He enjoyed looking through all of his extensive collection of Cardinal year books and memorabilia. Along with Ron’s passing this year, former Cardinal players Lou Brock and Bob Gibson also both passed away.  We’re sure they are reminiscing about past games together.

He loved being outdoors and working on the farm helping his dad.  He had his own hay bailing crew which made him enough money to enable him to buy his own 1972 Chevy Impala after graduating from college.

Ron was predeceased by his parents, Donald and Betty Marshall.

He is survived by his wife, Deanna, and his sons, Cody (Kelly Manring, and their children, Quinn, Claire, and Kelso), Timothy (Jenny Marshall, and their son, Matthew), and Tadd (Amy Marshall, and their sons, Riley, Davis, and Edan).  He is also survived by a sister, Donna Blair, a sister Strausie (Byron Folse), and brother, Richard Marshall.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, 10/21, at 10:30am with funeral services at 11:30am at First United Methodist Church Blue Springs 301 SE Woods Chapel Road, Blue Springs, MO 64015.  Services are limited to 100 people due to social distancing.

Special thanks to Dr. L. Brick Rigden and the staff at North Kansas City Heart Care Clinic for all of their exceptional care for Ron through the past 20 years.

Dee and Family, I am shocked to hear of the passing of my buddy. You know Ron and I go way, way back to our CT days. Ron was always helping me in anyway he could with all that computer "stuff". He was a true loyal friend, and I will always remember his kindness and his funny humor. Dee, I will always keep you and Ron in my heart of memories, and I will continue to cherish our friendship.
