Rollie Dean Pruyn, Age: 84
Mar 24, 1936 - Nov 17, 2020

 

Dean Pruyn, with his family by his side, peacefully surrendered his battle with Parkinson's Disease on November 17th, 2020. He fought the disease for many years, never once complaining. Dean was a kind, friendly man who had a twinkle in his eye when he smiled. He was the ultimate jokester who could make anyone laugh. Dean never met a dog he wouldn't pet and a cookie he wouldn't eat. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather and will be greatly missed. 

 

 

 

Dean was preceded in death by his parents, Rollie and Ione Pruyn. 

 

 

 

Dean will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 63 years, Marilyn; children, Michael Pruyn, Mark Pruyn, and Valerie Young (Cliff); grandchildren, Chris Denker (Melissa), Danielle Froelich (Taylor), Jordan Pruyn, Cordell Pruyn, Chelsea Young, and Cameron Nelson; great-grandchildren, Paisley Denker, Greyson Denker, and Lorelai Froelich.

I was Sarah Wallace. I grew up in Lee's Summit Christian Church. I have many fond memories of him. Especially from a bus trip, he kept that his running all the way to Washington DC and back. I have good memories of the entire family. He will be missed
