Troy J. Bettis, Age: 55
Jul 04, 1965 - Jan 01, 2021

Troy J. Bettis, 55 of Overland Park, Kansas passed away on January 1, 2021. Troy was born on July 4, 1965 to Duaine and Lyla Bettis. Troy spent his childhood in Belleville, Kansas with his twin brother Tony and his older sister Terri. After graduating from Belleville High School in 1983 he attended The University of Kansas where he became a lifelong Jayhawk fan, made enduring friendships and met his future wife. He began his long and respected career in banking and finance in 1989 in Kansas City. He married Catherine (Kay) in 1990. They had two children, daughter, Bailey and son, Joel.

Troy was passionate about his family, friends, the Jayhawks and golf.  Troys friends and neighbors knew they could count on him to be the first to help with whatever needed to be done. His abundant energy, sense of humor and down to earth personality made him someone people wanted to be around.

He is survived by his parents Duaine and Lyla Bettis, his wife of 30 years, Catherine, his children Bailey and Joel, his sister Terri Snapp (Jon), his brother Tony (Jill) and his nieces, Morgan Snapp, Alex Carson, Dani Bettis and nephew, Grant Bettis.
