Vincent Michael Cona of Kansas City, Mo., passed away in his home on Monday, March 1, 2021. Mike was born on October 14, 1955 to Vincent and Joan Cona.
Mike worked at DST Systems in several roles before he left to be a stay- at- home dad. Mike was a great cook and loved feeding people. One of his proudest accomplishments was opening up a BBQ restaurant in Lathrop Mo, called Jodie Blondes. He enjoyed planning trips, whether it was a golf trip with friends, or family vacations. He liked traveling abroad and had recently visited Scotland, Ireland, Sicily and Sardinia. Ireland was his favorite. He enjoyed music and was a huge fan of John Prine and Jethro Tull. He also liked to write and published a book called Verita. He had a great sense of humor and he loved helping people.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Cona, sister Kathleen Kemery and her husband Dale, several brothers and sisters-in-law, children Deanna Topper, Michael Cona, Leah Masters and Vincent Cona, as well as grandchildren, Abbi Topper and Killian McGaha. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews. You will forever be missed by family and friends. The family asks that contributions be made to the charity of your choice. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
